Finley Woodmansee (they/them)
Therapist

Finley became a therapist after experiencing therapy as a client, which shaped their belief that the most important aspect of therapy is human connection and understanding. They know firsthand the relief that comes from connecting with someone who truly understands your experience. As a therapist, Finley views the client as the expert in their own life, while they take a supporting role—offering resources and helping clients connect with their inner strengths and experiences to guide them toward a path that honors their authentic self. No matter where someone is on their journey, Finley provides judgment-free, shame-free support. Whether clients are seeking specific support or simply feel lost and unsure of what they need, Finley is ready to meet them where they are. They are comfortable sitting with clients through their darkest moments, celebrating victories, navigating overwhelming chaos, and everything in between. Together, they aim to find what works best for the individual, no matter what that may look like.

As a transmasculine and autistic therapist, Finley deeply understands the importance of creating a safe, affirming space for neurodivergent individuals and members of the LGBTQ+ community to explore their identities and navigate the complexities of their lived experiences. Their specialization in trauma therapy, combined with a personal understanding of gender and sexuality diversity, allows them to provide uniquely empathetic and effective support for clients seeking gender-affirming care, navigating burnout, or grappling with issues related to sexual and identity trauma. Finley is particularly passionate about working with clients experiencing dissociation and intimacy challenges, using Internal Family Systems (IFS) and somatic techniques to help clients—especially trans and nonbinary adults—navigate fragmentation and parts-driven behavior. Their therapeutic approach is informed by IFS, EMDR, and neural integration, and they excel in creating collaborative treatment frameworks that align with each client’s lived reality and perspective.

Finley is a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #145577) working under the supervision of Kate Behzadi, LMFT (#97100).
